The title doesn’t mean that a spreadsheet can be world wide, but can be a powerful www contributor. Believe it or not, I’ve just constructed a stock watch list in a spreadsheet in 2 hours.
I’m a great fan of Microsoft Excel and have used it effectively for many of my projects. It allows you to manage large data effectively. You can do calculations, define formulas, conditional formatting, lookup in the sheet and even you can create interactive forms out of excel. It also has a nice feature, by which you can import XML data from web and map it to a range of cells. Data becomes dynamic in this case.
Well, if Google is coming to this market then there must be lot of unexplored opportunities in this field. It is actually, and having worked on a Google spreadsheet for sometime, I’ve realized its potential. It allows you to import XML, HTML and CSV data from external sources into the spreadsheet. After a long streak of jail term the freedom fighter has been released on bail. It’s been a huge success for the judiciary system that it was able to give a relief to him. Our media are jubilant in covering this remarkable day and even had a live coverage from his exit from jail till he reached his home. Ministers and politicians have expressed their happiness and people across the nation are celebrating the victory. The freedom fighter was charged for helping his friends to hide their weapons and was convicted by the TADA court after a decade long hearing.
Puzzled what I’m talking about?. It’s of course about the media coverage that a criminal called Sanjay Dutt has got. May god help India.
AJAX என்றால் Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. இந்த முறையினால் ஒரு வலைப்பக்கத்தை Refresh செய்யாமலே, தகவலை பரிமாற முடியும். அதனால் தான், Google Docs சாத்தியமாயிற்று, மீபோவும் சாத்தியமாயிற்று. இந்த நுட்பத்தை பிரபலப்படுத்தியது கூகள் சஜஸ்ட். பல இணையங்களும் இப்போது அஜாக்ஸ் முறையில் மாற்றி எழுதப் படுகின்றன.
அஜாக்ஸ் ஒன்றும் புதிய தொழில்நுட்பமில்லை. மைக்ரோசாப்ட் தனது அவுட்லுக் மென்பொருளுக்காக XMLHttpRequest எனும் javascript கிளாசை உருவாக்கியது. இந்த கிளாஸ் மூலம் HTTP பரிமாற்றங்களை browser side coding மூலம் பண்ண முடியும். ஆனால் அதன் பலம் அப்போது தெரியவில்லை. கூகிள் வல்லுனர்கள் அதை உருவாக்கி சில இணையங்களை உருவாக்க, பின்னர் browser-களிலேயே XMLHttpRequest சேர்க்கப்பட்டது. அஜாக்சின் பயன்கள்,
- இணைய பக்கத்தை reload செய்யாமலே ஒரு பகுதியை மட்டும் update பண்ண முடியும்.
- JSON, XML, HTML முறைகளில் தகவல்களை பெற முடியும்
- ஒரே நேரத்தில் பல பரிமாற்றங்களை கையாளலாம் (Asynchronous)
இதனால் அஜாக்ஸ் இணையங்களை desktop மென்பொருள்களுக்குரிய அம்சங்களை உண்டதாக உருவாக்க முடியும்.
அஜாக்ஸினால் சாத்தியமான இணையங்கள் சில,
இந்த இணையத்தை உருவாகும் போது, அஜாக்ஸ் பற்றி படிக்கும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. Shop பக்கத்தில் உள்ள, “Ask for more details” என்பதை கிளிக்கி, பூர்த்தி செய்து submit செய்யவும். சிறிது நேரத்தில் அந்த லிங்க் தானாக சுருங்குவதை பார்க்கலாம். அப்படியென்றால் அஜாக்ஸ் முறையில் அனுப்பிய HTTP Request-ற்கு response வந்துவிட்டதென அர்த்தம். இந்த response-ஐ வைத்து, இணைய பக்கத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியை மட்டும் XML DOM முறையில் update செய்து கொள்ளலாம்.
இந்த பக்கத்தில் அஜாக்ஸ் முறையையும் பழைய முறையையும் அருமையாக compare செய்து பார்க்கலாம்.

You might face difficulties with the following,
- Font - Download 6 fonts from this page and put them in your C:\Windows\Fonts folder.
- On finding the correct PDF, you obviously would like to search in the PDF to find your name. But it’s quite difficult to search in tamil content. It didn’t work for me, when I tried with the unicode characters. But you can always search by the voter ID, street number or the door number.

Arvind Pandya, the state government’s counsel in the Nanavati-Shah Commission, was shown in the Tehelka-Aaj Tak tapes casting aspersions on its two judges. According to what he says on the Tehelka tapes, Nanavati is after money and Shah is sympathetic to the government.
On October 27, he announced at a press conference that he had resigned as government counsel, and had filed criminal cases against Dhimant Purohit, correspondent of Aaj Tak, charging them with cheating, criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, fraud, trespass and breach of communal harmony. He contended that Purohit had offered him a role in a serial which the TV channel was purportedly producing and that he was captured on a hidden camera when he was reading from what had been given to him as a script for an audition test. The immediate result of Pandya’s legal action was that Purohit sought anticipatory bail!
