நேற்று ஜெர்மனியின் நியூர்ன்பேர்கில் நடந்த ரேஸ் மிக்க பரபரப்பாக இருந்தது. நேற்றய ரேஸை பார்த்திருந்தால், எஃப் - 1 விளையாட்டின் பெரும்பாலான சூட்சுமங்களை புரிந்திருக்கலாம்.

மொத்த வீரர்கள் 22. ரேஸின் போல் பொஸிஸன் இப்படியாக இருந்தது - ரேகனன்(1), அலோன்சோ(2), மாஸா(3), வெபர்(6), ரால்ஃப்(9) ஹாமில்டன்(10). ரேஸ் துவங்கும் போதே, 2 நிமிடத்தில் மழை வரப்போவதாக கணிக்கபட்டது. ரேஸ் தொடங்கி முதல் சுற்றிலேயே சாரல் விழத் தொடங்க, ஓடுதளம் ஈரமாக்கபட்டது. அனைத்து வண்டிகளும் ஈர டயர் மாற்றிகொள்ள பிற்றை நோக்கி சென்றன, ஒரே ஒருவரை தவிர.அவர் விங்கெல்ஹாக். அறிமுக ஆட்டக்காரரான இவர் சமயோசிதமாக செயல்பட்டு, ரேஸ் தொடங்கும் முன்பே ஈர டயருக்கு மாறிவிட்டார். அதனால் அவர் சுமார் 7 நொடிகளை சேமித்து முன்னால் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தார். ஈர டயருக்கு மாறிய பிற வண்டிகள், அவரை பின் தொடர்ந்தன. இப்படியே இரு சுற்றுகள் முடிய, மூன்றாவது சுற்றில் காத்திருந்தது ஆப்பு.

ஒரு வளைவில் மழை தண்ணீர் தேங்கி நின்றதால், வேகமாக வந்த வண்டிகள் ஓடுத்தளத்திலிருந்து சறுக்கிய படி வெளியே பாய்ந்தன. இதில் ஹாமில்டனும் சறுக்கினார். அனுபவ வீரர்கள் அந்த வளைவில் மெதுவாக வந்ததால் தப்பி முன்னேறினர்.

சேஃப்டி கார் முன்னே செல்ல, விங்கெல்ஹாக் தொடர, மற்ற வண்டிகள் பின் தொடர்ந்தன. ஹாமில்டன் கிரேன் மூலம் தூக்கப்பட்டு, ஓடுதளத்தில் விடப்பட்டார். பிற சறுக்கிய வண்டிகள் ரேஸிலிருந்து வெளியேறின.

இப்போது 17 வண்டிகளே தளத்தில் உள்ளன. ஹாமில்டன் தான் கடைசி. சேஃப்டி கார், இரு சுற்றுகளை முடித்து விட்டு வெளியேற, ரேஸ் விட்ட இடத்திலிருந்து தொடங்கியது. ஓரிரு சுற்றுகள் முடிந்ததும், மழை நின்று தளம் காயத் தொடங்கியது. அந்தோ பரிதாபம், ஈர டயர் மாட்டியிருந்த வண்டிகள் காய்ந்த டயர் மாட்ட மீண்டும் பிற்றுக்கு சென்றன.

லாப் 19-ல் ஒரு வளைவில் ரால்ஃபின் வண்டி மற்றொரு வண்டியுடன் உரசி ஒதுங்கியது. சொந்த மண்ணில் ரேஸ் முடிக்காமல் வெளியேறியது துரதிர்ஷ்டமே.
